Why speed matters
A slow forge loses customers before the first spark. Every wasted ember counts.
Web performance is how quickly a page loads, how quickly it responds, and how stable it stays while it does.
Faster sites keep visitors: slow pages raise bounce rates and cut conversions. Speed is also a search ranking signal. And mobile matters most: slower networks and CPUs make every byte cost more.
The most common mistake is optimising on a hunch: compressing images when the real problem was a slow server. Golden rule: measure first, fix the biggest problem, then measure again.
