What is Vite?
A forge needs good bellows. Vite blows so fast your fire is lit before you've rolled up your sleeves.
Browsers only understand HTML, CSS and plain JavaScript. Modern projects use TypeScript, JSX and hundreds of npm packages. A build tool turns all of that into files a browser can run.
Vite (French for fast, said “veet”) is such a tool, created by Evan You, the author of Vue. It does two jobs: a lightning-fast dev server while you work, and an optimised production build when you ship.
